2019
Talking about contemporary Ukrainian art culture is the idea of the project “Border.308” that combines art and literature. The event was presented on 20 April 2019, at the cultural centre “Owl's Nest” in Uzhgorod. It is supported by the International Fund “Renaissance”.
The project is being implemented in nine cities in Ukraine (Dnipro, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Odesa, Uzhhorod, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv), and each time it is different: the subject, authors, ideas change. However, the main goal remains unchanged: to combine two types of art and make them an instrument for dialogue about the uniqueness of both the city itself and Ukrainian culture in general. Actually, in this way there is a dialogue between different sections of society and its various representatives.
The theme, which was chosen for Uzhhorod is “Border”. Actually, what might be closer and more relevant for the Transcarpathians?
The art-part of “Border.308” in Uzhhorod was presented by artists Andriana Kuruts and Martyn Sholtes, The posters were presented by Andrii Yermolenko. The literary support was provided by the poets Halyna Kruk, Oleh Korotash, and Tomash Deiak.
