PRESENTATIONS OF MASTER'S WORKS AT THE TRANSCARPATHIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS

On 18 January 2018, in the premises of the "Ilko Gallery" art centre, there was a presentation of master's works of the students of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts of specialties "Fine Art, Decorative Art, Restoration" and "Design".

14 masters, with two participants in the "Silver Easel" contest being among them, presented their creative works in fine arts and design. Painting works – large-format multicomponent genre compositions and still life.

Young talents will enter the history of the higher education because they are the first graduates of the Transcarpathian Academy. The rector of the academy Ivan Nebesnyk noted during his speech, Adalbert Erdeli's dream had finally come true – one can get the higher art education in Transcarpathia.

Taras Hodvan, a student of the academy, a prize-winner of the Student Contest in Painting "Silver Easel", presented his work "A Young Artist". The boy says: "I wanted to stay on the technical possibilities because there are a lot of different concepts, but first of the work must be done technically correct. I think that this is the most difficult – you need to take anatomical and technical features, character into account. The idea of the work is not accidental – it is a summary of all those years that I spent at the academy. I’d like to be honest with the viewer, to show what I've experienced myself. Here young people bring the creative discussion. There are hidden symbols: a white canvas behind the guys' backs is the search for something new, the beginning; the drawing of a girl with a child, depicted on this canvas, is located almost on the shoulders of one of the guys – this is a sign of what will happen in the future. The girl sitting on the left symbolizes inspiration, which should always be nearby. All the characters in the painting are a generalized embodiment of me and my friends."

The event was held in two stages at the presidency of the President of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine Andrii Chebykin: first the masters demonstrated their creative works in the gallery and next day they presented them in their native academy.

Based on the results of the presentation, the educational institution will receive confirmation of accreditation for master degree for the next 5 years.
