A painter, sculptor
Eleonora Trompak was born on 3 June 1981 in Transcarpathia. Since her childhood, she has been fascinated by the magic of the creative process and understanding that a person can be a creator. A young artist felt her vocation, her involvement in this magic, so there was no doubt about her future profession.
From 1996 to 2001, Eleanora was studying at the Uzhhorod College of Arts named after A. Erdeli on the speciality “Fine Arts”. After that – at Lviv National Academy of Arts, speciality “Fine, Decorative and Applied Arts”. There, one of the teachers who helped to form the artist’s vision was Ivan Mykytiuk, a professor of the department of monumental and decorative sculpture. The famous Transcarpathian sculptor Vasyl Olashyn also had an influence on the creative formation of Eleonora.
The artist is inspired by the classics: Michelangelo, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, as well as the contemporary art of the famous Scottish sculptor Philip Jackson and the incredible plastics of figurative sculptures of the American Richard MacDonald.
In addition to the creative activity, Eleonora was engaged in teaching at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.

The artist’s creative credo of the is: “A true purpose of art is the spiritual growth of intellect.” She is interested in complex psychological, philosophical topics: the inner world of a man, his thoughts, experiences, self-identity, personality transformation...
One of the author's works is a bronze sculpture “Despite”, in which at first glance female fragility and weakness are opposed to internal rebelliousness, which adds strength to withstand the unexpected, unfair strokes of bad luck. The sculptor masterfully transmits not only the perfection of female forms but also the strength of spirit, passion and inner energy of a woman.
Even during the studying, Eleonora’s works were exhibited at several group and international exhibitions. One of the recent, which presents a sculpture of the artist, held in October 2018 at the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after Yosyp Bokshai, it was timed to Artist's Day.
Eleonora Trompak lives and works in Uzhhorod.
