ROSUL MYROSLAVA

Laureate of the Regional Prize named after Y. Bokshai and A. Erdeli (2003). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993). She was born in Uzhhorod. In 1983, she graduated from Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (now-Lviv National Academy of Arts, 1983).

Master of easel and miniature ceramic sculpture, decorative plastics of small forms. In her works she uses elements peculiar to the ceramic products of ancient epochs, transforming them in accordance with the canons of modern art. In her creativity Myroslava Rosul combines rich internal culture, talent, professionalism and deep sense of folk customs and traditions.

Demonstrating significant knowledge about the works of past eras, the master organically integrates in her works the symbols of the Egyptian-Sumerian, Japanese-Tibetan, Creto-Mycenaean or ancient Graeco-Roman cultures. All the images that are born from the author are a kind of fusion of the past and present, amazing combination of the different worlds. The artist herself denotes the essence of her art as an “archaic transavantgarde”.

One of the central thematic images in the artist's work is a woman-in all her beauty, versatility and sensuality. Participant of regional, national, international art exhibitions and plein airs. She spent about a dozen personal exhibitions in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Uzhhorod, Mukachevo. Works of the artist are in the collections of museums and galleries of Ukraine, Canada, Hungary.
