POPOVYCH VASYL

In 1974 he graduated from Uzhhorod College of Applied Art (his pedagogues were Sh. Petki, V. Berets, V. Svyda, I. Harapko). Since 1991 he has been the member of creative Association of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia. Since 1980 he has actively participated in art exhibitions, including international (Czechoslovakia, Hungary). The participant of the international plein-airs in Hungary and Transcarpathia. In 1995-2015 he organized seven personal exhibitions in Uzhhorod and Vynohradiv.

He skilfully knows numerous picturesque techniques: oil painting, watercolour, pastel. His favourite genres are natural and urbanistic landscape, still-life, portrait. Colouristic palette of the artist's works is smooth and harmonious, without sharp contrasts and drama. His masterpieces are distinguished by sensitivity of the painting style, emotional sincerity and poetry. They can be found in numerous private collections of Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, the USA and Canada.
