PhD in Arts, Associate Professor of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts. Laureate of the Regional Prize named after Y. Bokshai and A. Erdeli.
He was born in Uzhhorod. From 1993 to 1997 he studied at the Uzhhorod College of Arts named after A. Erdeli. From 1997 to 2003, he obtained the artistic education at the Lviv Academy of Arts, a department of monumental and decorative painting, his teachers were ViacheslavHordiienko, MykolaAndrushchenko, LiubomyrMedvid, Viktor Moskaliuk, StepanYuzefiv. A significant role in the formation of the artist plays his environment. Education in Lviv contributed to it: the artist studied and copied the icons from the collection of the National Museum there, for some time he worked as a decorating artist at the LvivTheatre named after M. Zankovetska. Since 2003, he has been teaching, since 2005, he has been teaching theoretical and practical disciplines at the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts.
A supporter of classical art. The author is not indifferent to lyricism, the past of the region, romantic outlook, integrity and philosophical comprehension of being – all this becomes the theme of the artist’spaintings.He has a lot of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. With special love, the master depicts city landscapes, architecture.
In 2003 and 2004, he participated in the renovation of the frescoes of the diocesan artist of the late 19th century of Ferdinand Vydra in the church of Peter and Paul in Bilky village, Irshava district, Transcarpathia.
Since 2004, he has been studying Ukrainianfolk embroidery of Transcarpathia of the 19th – the first half of the 20th century. Currently, he is the author of a number of scientific articles devoted to the embroidery of Transcarpathia.He systematically participates in scientific conferences and exhibitions.Laureate of the Regional Prize named after A. Erdeli and Y. Bokshai in the genre "Arts work" for the monograph "The Ukrainian embroideries of the Transcarpathia of the 19th – the first half of the 20th century", published in 2012. The author of more than fifty scientific publications, research on the theme of folk art.
The organizer of the thematic exhibition devoted to "Flowers of Vita", show-lectures of costumes of Transcarpathia. He launched an annual exhibition-contest "The World of Pysanka", which aims to study and preserve the traditions of Pysanka in Transcarpathia. Curator of exhibitions on fine arts.
Regularly participates in art festivals in Ukraine and abroad. A participant of about dozens of regional, all-Ukrainian, and foreign collective exhibitions. The works of the artist are kept in numerous private collections.
