SHANDOR OLEKSANDR

He studied at the metal department of Uzhhorod College of Arts named after A. Erdeli (his teachers were - V. Petretskyi, O. Lukach, M. Mykhailiuk). Member of the Creative National Association "Verkhovyna's Artist" (2007), and Youth Association of "Transcarpathian artists" (2012). The active participant of regional, all-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions and plein-airs, and charity events in support of children. He held five personal exhibitions (Khust, Moscow, Lviv, Kyiv).

Having travelled and communicated a lot with senior and experienced artists, he combined the fine art features of several Ukrainian schools. Among the genres he prefers landscape and still life. All works he creates mainly from life, being given to emotions and inspiration. The realistic painting of the artist is mainly impressionistic, courageous with unconstrained pastose dabs of the colour planes on the canvases. The author easily forms interesting, dynamic compositional, and stylistic decisions which make bright and integral emotional impression. Works of the artist are stored in numerous private collections and galleries in Ukraine and abroad.
