Biography

He was born on October 1, 1957 in Uzhhorod in a large family. He has shown love and ability to draw since his childhood. Parents supported his desire and sent him to the studio of Zoltan Bakoniia at the Palace of Pioneers. A talented teacher brought up more than one generation of artists, instilled in children a love of art. Therefore, from the school bench Arkadii already knew that he would become an artist. In 1973, he successfully passed the entrance exams in Uzhhorod College of Applied Arts, which he graduated in 1977. He studied at the department of metal art. His teachers were the famous artists: Ivan Masniuk, Ivan Manailo, Fedir Lashchak, Shandor Petki, Vilmosh Berets, Yosyp Bachynskyi, and Yosyp Pal.

The whole life of Arkadii Mukhomedianov is associated with art. He has worked as a designer, a stonecutter artist, has been engaged in photography, and he devoted his free time to the fine arts. His favourite genres are landscape and still life.

Over the decades, he has created hundreds of works. The vast majority of master’s works is landscapes and still lifes made in the technique of oil painting, as well as watercolours. The formation of the manner of painting of the young artist was influenced by creativity of the European postimpressionists (Paul Cézanne) and the founders of the Regional School of Art (Yosyp Bokshai, Adalbert Erdeli, Andrii Kotska and others). According to the colour and theme the works of the artist can be divided into two periods: early and mature. Colouring of early works is more restrained and achromatic, landscapes prevail. Over time, his palette has become brighter, lighter, and more sonorous.

The artist admits that he takes strength and inspiration for creativity from majestic and inimitable nature of the native land; mountains, millennia Carpathian forests, swift, crystal clear mountain streams. In his works he tries to recreate the vitality of the God-given nature, its majesty and pristine beauty.

Personal exhibition of the artist was in Uzhhorod in 2017.
