Tusher Mykola

He was born in Rakhiv. Somewhere in the depths of the soul, among the green mountains and flowering Polonynas, a young man was developing into an artist. In the 10th form, a talented young man was invited to a plein air in the Uzhhorod House of Folk Art. Unforgettable painting lessons were taught by Andrii Kotska, Anton Kashshai and other artists. As a result, the traditional Transcarpathian school of painting was the basis of the artist’s painting style.

Among the artist's works, there are landscapes, still lifes, rural and mountain landscapes, mostly oil on canvas. Enchanted by the beauty of his native Rakhiv, the artist tries to transfer it on the canvas, having passed everything through his worldview at first. As a result, the works are extremely sincere and tremulous. The palette is rich, he is not afraid to use warm colours in a winter landscape, and in summer one he adds cold white and blue tones. Thanks to it, each work plays, amazes, touches the subtle heart strings (“A Sunny Day”, 2011, “Winter Etude”, 2010, “Yasinia Village – Spring”, 2012).

From the very beginning of his creative activity, the artist tries to be an active participant in the social life of his home region. Exhibitions of Mykola Tusher's works became a bright element of literally every festival and local holiday. As a result, the artist was awarded numerous diplomas and became a laureate of the Hutsul festival. In 2002, in Rakhiv, he was awarded a breastplate “For Services to the City”.

1994 and 1996 became distinctive in the artist's creativity because it was held two personal exhibitions. Both exhibitions were marked by art historians. In 2002, it was held the third regional exhibition, which testified the creative progress of the artist. Mykola Tusher repeatedly presented his works in his hometown.

In addition to the exhibition activities, Mykola Tusher is a participant in numerous regional and international plein airs. The works of the artist are kept in many private collections.
