Marinets Pavlo

He was born in Kostylivka, Rakhiv district. In 2010, he graduated from Mukachevo Trade and Economic College with honours, in 2012-Lviv Commercial Academy. In 2016, he obtained specialist degree at the Transcarpathian Art Institute in Uzhhorod, Fine Arts Department ("Painting" speciality). He began to write icons in 2012. The artist's first works were "Our Lady" and "Saviour". Among his works, there are iconostasis and external church paintings in the temples of Transcarpathia and the Czech Republic. According to the artist himself, the craving for sacred subjects appeared on his own because he is deeply religious person.

In addition to icon painting, the artist created portraits, still lifes, landscapes. He sincerely admires the beauty of paternal region and this love is conveyed in depicting people, nature, sceneries. The colour range of painting works is bright and vibrant, thanks to this the pictures are fresh and very light.The artist, in addition to painting, is interested in the ethnography of his native Hutsulshchyna, his author's pysanka took part in the VII All-Ukrainian Festival of Pysanka from "Folk Ukraine" in Kyiv (2017).

Member of regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions and plein airs in Kolomyia, Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kyiv, as well as international plein airs (Borșa, Romania). The artist's works are presented in the book "The Artists of Transcarpathian Hutsulshchyna" by Y. Bendak and O. Maslianyk. The author's works are in private collections of Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, Russia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
