LEVLIAS TETIANA

She was awarded with “Outstanding Scholar of Ukraine” and “Sofiia Rusova” decorations, the laureate of the Regional Educational Prize named after A. Voloshyn. She was born in Makiivka, Donetsk region. In 1979 she graduated from Uzhhorod College of Applied Art (Department of Art Ceramics), and in 1988 – from the Faculty of Fine and Graphic Arts under Odessa State Pedagogical Institute named after K. D. Ushynskyi. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2008). Since 1985, she has taken active part in regional and national exhibitions. She held several personal exhibitions. For many years she has been working in the Transcarpathian Regional Centre of Scientific and Technical Creativity (Head of the Department, Deputy Director), where she heads the club “Young ceramist”.

In general, ceramics takes a special place in the artist’s creativity. Having got considerable practical experience while working at the Berehovo Majolica Complex, today the artist embodies her skills in filigree majolica pysanka, floral compositions from clay, decorative things, which reveal the symbiosis of Trypillian culture and modern pottery traditions of Transcarpathia. In her pictorial art dominating are bright, cheerful landscapes, and exquisitely refined still lifes. The artist is apt to perceive the aesthetic beauty of natural and objective environment, even at the modest, not very glossy landscape motives, and skilfully reproduce it in the clear and colourful art style.
