KLISA IVAN

Member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine (1984), National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2006), Association of Hungarian Artists of Transcarpathia named after Imre Revesz. He was born in Uzhhorod. In 1974, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Kyiv National Art Institute (now - National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture).

As an architect, he is engaged in the design of housing, public and industrial buildings. Among the fine arts’ genre, he works mainly in pastels and watercolours. His still lifes and landscapes strike by deep lyricism, elegance, lightness. The artist manages to convey the beauty of his native land, its originality by colours on the canvases. In recent years, the artist reinterprets philosophically the ordinary, and this is reflected in his works as well.

Since 1984 he has been the participant of regional, national, and international art exhibitions and plein airs. Personal exhibitions of the artist took place in Uzhhorod (1989, 1999, 2004, 2009) as well as abroad-in Hungary (1989-1991) and the Czech Republic (1991-1992).
