Biography
He was born in Uzhhorod. In 1984 he graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1989. Representative of trans-avant-garde art of the “new wave” of the mid-1980s - early 1990s. In 1994 in Munich together with Susanne Clausen he founded the art group Szuper Gallery. The artist lives and works in London and Munich. He keeps up with the social and political changes in the world and Ukraine, as well as with irreversible changes in nature and climate.
Artist’s emotions, feelings, visions of our future, passing through the internal Self, are demonstrated on the canvas by the post-apocalyptic stories. To strengthen the impression and underline the catastrophic inevitability, he uses aggressively bright colour palette in his works. Since 1988 he has been the participant of numerous personal and group exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, the UK. The artist’s works are stored at Guelman Gallery (Moscow, Russia) as well as in private collections of Ukraine, the USA, Europe countries. His pictures have success at the prestigious Phillips auction in London.
