Biography
She was born in Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi). Together with her husband – a painter and graphic artist Viktor Derda, she lives, works and creates in Uzhhorod.
In 1989, she graduated from the painting department of the Odesa Art College, and in 2000 – from Lviv National Academy of Arts (Art Textile Department). Since 2014 she has been teaching professional and specialized courses at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Transcarpathian Academy of Arts. She participates in regional, national and international art exhibitions and projects. The artist held five personal exhibitions in Lviv, Kyiv, Uzhhorod, and Bratislava.
Works of the artist are created in the original author's style of textile collage. This is an original fusion of various techniques and styles, endless game of themes, fantasies, and interpretations. The author's works are kept in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
