BORETSKYІ YAROSLAV

Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2004).

He was born in Vinnytsia. In 1982, he graduated from the Odesa Art College named after M. Hrekova, as well as the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in 1990. His pedagogues were – T. Yanko, V. Panasiuk.

Master of decorative and applied arts (art ceramics). He works in the field of art ceramics, mainly in porcelain and stone mass: decorative beds, ceramic plastics, dishes, abstract compositions. The main style is archaeological avant-garde. Master skilfully combines wood with porcelain and paintings salts. Pottery is inconceivably light and attractive for visual perception, the shakiness of forms and lines, the colour solution, the combination of "magic" symbols and geometric figures with a certain semantic load, brightly distinguishes the author's works among the leading ceramists of the region. Professionally performed plastic is the high art and organically fit into the context of modern trends in art and design. In the works of Boretskyi, images and forms taken from the art of ancient cultures, the peoples of Africa, Oceania, and Latin America, are skilfully combined with modernity.

Since 1995 – participant of regional, all-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions. The works of the master are in private collections of Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, and Sweden.

He lives and works in Uzhhorod. The artist's wife, a famous ceramist Nataliia Boretska-Hrabar, is also engaged in art ceramics.
