2017
On 5 December 2017, at the hall-atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, it was opened the jubilee exhibition of the member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the Laureate of the Regional Prize named after Y. Bokshai and A. Erdeli Anna Landovska called "What is around me...".
The exhibition is supported by the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The exposition includes about 40 works – landscapes and still lifes. The artist says that she wants to show what surrounds her, but not those who surround her. In her works, Anna uses oil technique, as well as a watercolour with pastel in her author's combination.
"I awfully like to watch, to notice every detail and it can be seen in my still lifes and landscapes. This is what is around me. Of course, with my approach and outlook. I am inspired by everything that one can see around. The main thing is an optimistic view and desire to see something beautiful," the artist says.
The artist shares that she has been painting since her childhood: as long as she remembers herself, her love for the brush is unchanged. She probably inherited it from her father, who is an artist too.
At the exhibition, among the other things, the viewer will see a masterful image of white on the white. Cherry, raspberry, strawberry, poppies are as if a red thread in the works of Landovska…
"Anna Landovska is a graduate of the Academic Institute named after Riepin, and this educational institution, which not everybody could enter, is known for its high level of training. Anna is not just a good specialist – she was able to fit into the Transcarpathian school of painting, contributing a new view of art and the world in general. The red line in her work is the berries – it adds freshness. Now the female part of our union honourably represents Transcarpathia both in Ukraine and abroad," the member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Vasyl Vovchok said.
"I like what other artists do in other genres, techniques, directions, but I stand by realism," Anna Landovska says.
The colleague and friend of the artist, Vlad Habda notices: "I think everyone who knows something about art, should exhibit great respect toward the works of this artist. Her works always surprised me in a good way."
The exhibition will last within three weeks at the hall-atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
