2018
On 27 September 2018 in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, it was presented an exhibition by members of the Society of Slovak Artists of Transcarpathia. The event was held under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhhorod.
The exhibition was timed to the small anniversary of the work of the Society of Slovak Artists of Transcarpathia – it has existed for 5 years already.
Eight authors presented more than fifty works. According to the chairman of the Society Michael Peter, works for the exhibition the artists offered at their discretion. They were not limited to either themes, nor genre or style. Such a free format really worked. Creativity is presented in a versatile and original manner.
In particular, there are works of M. Peter, T. Tabaka, E. Prykhodko, Y. Tkachyk, A. Pavuk, M. Belen, V. Sochka and V. Hanzel.
The exhibition presents realistic and abstract art works of different genres. Landscapes of Transcarpathia and Slovakia prevail. There are still lifes, genre compositions and one portrait. Concerning the technique, oil painting dominates here, but there are watercolours and acrylics as well.
Artists presented not only fine arts, but also sculptures. In particular, Vasyl Sochka and Mykhailo Belen presented their works.
The exhibition will last until 14 October 2018.
