A variety of colours, genres, styles, techniques – all these are the works of the participants of the All-Ukrainian Student Contest in Panting "Silver Easel", which were presented on 1 September 2017 in the cultural and historical centre "Owl Nest".
The event was timed to the Day of Uzhhorod.
The exhibition was initiated by the organizers of the contest "Silver Easel" Art & Culture Foundation Brovdi Art. The exposition includes the works of the first and the second contests, which were held in Autumn 2016 and Spring 2017. It was presented about hundreds of works in nominations "Landscape", "Cityscape", "Portrait" and "Improvisation" for the viewer’s attention.
During the opening ceremony, one of the organizers of the exhibition Oleksandr Nikitchuk said: "Unfortunately, this room could not contain all the works, but we tried to select the most interesting and build the exposition as music – on notes."
On the same day, it was started the 3rd All-Ukrainian Contest in Painting "Silver Easel", which will be held on 9-14 October 2017 in Uzhhorod, it is possible to apply for participation until 24 September inclusive.
Maksym Hospodynchyk, the participant and winner of the first and second "Silver Easel" remarks: "Silver Easel" – this is a good impetus for the development of creativity. The contest gathered students and showed that there are people in the country who are supporting the young artists, who are inspired to create and develop further. "
A lot of people gathered to look at the works – famous Transcarpathian artists, representatives of the city authorities and simply connoisseurs of art, among whom there are many young people. All present note: it affects not only the subject but also the variety of performance techniques – there is oil, acrylic, assemblage, applique, oil pastel, authoring techniques.
Honoured Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Svaliavchyk notices: "I am glad that there are presents a very different composition, approaches, the original vision. Young people try to search and find themselves, they are not like each other. There really is a creative aura. "
The exhibition for the most of the authors is for the first time. It is the first step towards the future. "I'm happy for the participants: they were allowed to exhibit, and for the artist to show themselves and to assess their level, to compare it with the other - the best that can be," an artist Emma Levadska says.
An art critic Atilla Kopryva noted that there is every reason to believe that "Silver Easel" will give impetus to the formation of a new creative area, separate schools.
The exhibition of works by the participants of "Silver Easel" will last until 30 September 2017.
