On 17 October 2018, an exhibition-sale of works of the Transcarpathian artists will be opened at the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. The proceeds from the paintings sale will be transferred to the purchase of equipment for the sports and rehabilitation centre for the invalids of the musculoskeletal system and ATO participants.
The organizers of the exhibition are the Transcarpathian regional branch of the Ukrainian Sports Federation with the affections of the musculoskeletal system, Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.
Oil painting, graphics, pastels, watercolours – in general, at the exhibition-sale, there are about 30 paintings executed in different styles and genres. Here one can find both traditional Transcarpathian landscape and still lifes and abstractions – works for every taste.
Transcarpathian artists, mainly members of the National Union, presented their works for the exhibition, in particular, Lesia Pryimych, Viktoriia Manailo-Prykhodko, Miklos Suto, Eduard Prykhodko, Oksana Malesh, Marianna Pap-Malesh, Vasyl Vovchok, Vlad Habda, Liubov Pavlyshyn, Olena Kashshai, Petro Sholtes, Oleksandr Lypchei, Tetiana Ivanytska, Vasyl Zhurei, Mykola Dufynets, Petro Feldeshi, Yurii Bodnar, Emma Levadska, Taras Usyk, Borys Kuzma, Anton Kovach, and Viktoriia Manailo-Prykhodko. Each of the artists presented one or two paintings.
Besides paintings, art lovers will also be able to buy ceramics. Their works for the exhibition will present the master of ceramic sculptures, decorative plastics of small forms Myroslava Rosul.
“We conduct various events to involve the public in the development of our Centre. Now, for example, we organized an exhibition-sale. We were supported by the Transcarpathian Centre of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. We are very grateful for it. The management of the city, region, patrons, businessmen were invited to join the event. We hope to receive the support from all concerned people and buy sports equipment, training devices,” the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Sports Federation of the invalids of the musculoskeletal system Oleksandr Lyzanets noted.
As one of the exhibitors, Eduard Prykhodko, said, the Transcarpathian artists are usually reluctant to take part in such events.
“The Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life annually holds several exhibitions-sales, during which it is possible to gain money for various social institutions, centres for rehabilitation, in particular for the medical and social rehabilitation centre “Roads of Life” in Uzhhorod, and others. I call on all the concerned citizens to visit the exposition, to join such a noble cause and together with us and Transcarpathian artists to help those who really need it,” Vasyl Kotsan, the director of the museum added.
So let's remind you: the exhibition is opened today at 4.00 p.m. at the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life and will last at least for a week. All those interested will be able to support people with disabilities and ATO participants.
