On 2 January 2018, the Uzhhorod artist Eduard Prykhodko presented about ten paintings created during 2017.
The variety the genres of the Eduard Prykhodko's works is wide. The attention is attracted by the compositions with horses, which in the artist's imagination are associated with the desire for freedom, they are the personification of such seemingly incomprehensible concepts as strength, freedom, courage, independence and at the same time tenderness, love, and devotion.
The "Stop in Time" series is tied to the topic of horses. The compositions of this cycle reproduce the material monuments of technical development of human civilization. In them, as in living beings, there is eternal beauty, perfection and harmony. This is an image of old cars, motorcycles, bicycles, etc. The works are built on the game of close to monochrome tonal shades, complex effects of textural planes.
The artist was born in 1976 in Uzhhorod, Transcarpathian region. He got his art education at Uzhhorod College of Arts named after A. Erdeli and Transcarpathian Art Institute. His teachers were N. Didyk, A. Kovach, V. Prykhodko, and V. Roman. The artist works in the field of easel painting. He also creates figurative and abstract compositions. He prefers conventional, stylized solutions. Participant in regional, all-Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions, international painting biennales. His works are kept in private collections of Ukraine and abroad, as well as in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after Y. Bokshai. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2006). The artist co-operates and is supported by the Art & Culture Foundation Brovdi Art, the Auction House "Korners", and "ARS KERYLOS" gallery.
